Who doesn’t love a burger? If you find someone that claims they don’t, they are probably lying, or are a robot. Over the next little while, I shall be embarking upon a quest to sift through a mountain of burgers and find out who serves up Sydney’s best burger.
The best burger I have ever eaten hails from Stitch Bar. It is simply outstanding. The standard has been set, and now it’s time to find out who can beat it.
Today it was a visit to the 3 Weeds Rozelle to try their Wagyu Beef Cheeseburger. I had just come from a morning of auditioning which is hungry work, so I was aching to sink my fangs into this baby…
This burger certainly satisfies the yearning… “Do you ever just sit and yearn?”… It is rosy inside and char-stiped on the outside. The melted cheese blankets the meat and they get very snuggly together. This burger does not have sauce, but instead comes with a tomato relish that adds an edge of sophistication to it. There is pickle zing but not attention-grabbingly so.
Served with a side of chat potatoes, this makes a welcome change from chips and again, adds a bit of class.
Overall, this burger is damn fine and I would happily chow down on one any day… This could be potentially dangerous as I have just started teaching singing around the corner from the 3 Weeds… Oh the imminent danger…
So, as it stands, Stitch is still number one (for my taste). It just has a smokiness you cannot beat, but this Wagyu Cheeseburger from 3 Weeds is definitely a ripper burger.
Stay tuned for more results in my epic burger quest… Recommendations are gratefully accepted.
