With its doors opening this morning, there is nothing like venturing into a shiny new house of coffee. Located on Vardon Ave just behind Rundle St in Adelaide CBD, Exchange is a gem.
From the slick, simple interior, and gleaming espresso machine, you can just tell these guys are serious about coffee. The fact that they are clad in tartan and beards solidifies the feeling even further.
“One flat white please.” I was going to get a takeaway, but the environs and people-watching are too good to pass up, and besides the library can wait.
It is so velvety I almost want to die. That fella sure knows how to steam his milk. That is what overwhelms me the most about this coffee: the texture. The flavour is fine, but the texture sublime. I love the cups too. It’s all in the details.
After perusing and sampling other places of coffee fame in Radelaide over the past week, Exchange is the best.
Go out and get it while it’s hot.
