For traditional Italian fare, Bella Venezia in Mooloolaba, is where to go. The menu abounds with choice and it would be hard to go past any dish with seafood, in this beachside locale. Serving real handmade pasta – you know that gorgeous tension you perceive when you sink your teeth into it – with lashings of gorgeous seafood is pretty much a dream dinner. Just writing this I am salivating, eyes bulging like a cartoon cat spotting a mouse, as I look at the picture of my dinner.
I have nothing to bad to say about the food, the crab lasagne ($32) is delicate and well-crafted, however, this restaurant is not cheap. For the level of casualness, the ambiance, the decor, the patrons, I feel it is over-priced. If it were white linen table cloths, on the water itself, I still would feel these prices were expensive, but somewhat more justified.
