With Easter next weekend, why not get into the spirit by getting into the spirits? If you’re throwing a luncheon or dinner, treat your guests to a bespoke Easter-themed cocktail.
This cocktail uses the lovely Baxter’s Buns tea mix from T2. Hurrah for T2 coming to the UK. Reminiscent of a hot cross bun, simply make a pot of this and ice it, as the cocktail is going to be served cold – hence my name for it, cool cross buns. When making the ice tea, use a little bit more tea than suggested to pack a bit of punch – maybe a dessert spoon for every 150ml.
With the lovely spices of the tea, the lemon adds refreshment, the egg white a glorious texture, and the vodka gives it the boozy buzz we want.
This recipe is for one serving.
Ingredients
- 30ml vodka, chilled
- 50ml iced Baxter’s Buns tea
- 1 egg white
- juice from half a large lemon
- 2 teaspoons of caster sugar
Method
- Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously so you get a nice, foamy consistency from the egg white.
- Pour into glass of your choice and garnish with something kitsch and Eastery.
