Little Willy’s

photo of two coffees

So it’s day two of my Perth trip, and I am walking through Northbridge, when I hear, “Catherine?”. I turn around. Here, 3000km from home, is my old drama school flat mate, Katie, who last week I was meant to catch up with whilst I was in Melbourne but she had uni exams. We stood there, mouths agape for a few seconds, trying to process what was happening. Neither of us knew the other was in Perth. Amazing! After the sheer shock had dulled slightly, we went to a nearby cafe to catch up. Little Willy’s (and no, we were not mature enough to not have a good giggle) did not exist when we lived in Perth six years ago. Pity. It had decent coffee which used to be a hard thing to find in Perth. It was so lovely to reminisce and laugh and share. I left feeling so happy that I’d walked down William Street when I did… but I was meant to, wasn’t I?
