Located in Carindale, far from any beach, this family run seafood shop is making crazy-good fare. The batter is thin and crispy, with a lovely deep-golden hue and the chips are dry. And the prices are incredibly reasonable. This gorgeous snapper and chips was only $11. Sometimes in Sydney a decent fish and chips will set you back a whopping $20.
I don’t know Brisbane very well, but irrespective of my lack of dining at other fish and chip shops, this is the best fish and chips in Brisbane. It has to be. I walked an hour for this and I’d gladly walk an hour every time.
